A radial menu for SSMS.
RadialDeck gives SSMS a ring of its own: hold the hotkey while SSMS is in front, flick toward a slice and let go. The gallery has 8 ready-made actions for it, among them execute query, new query, show/hide results. Everywhere else your usual ring stays as it is.
8 actions, ready to add
- Execute queryRuns the selected text, or the whole query window if nothing is selected.
- New queryOpens a new query editor window with the current connection.
- Show/hide resultsShows or hides the query results pane.
- Estimated execution planDisplays the estimated execution plan without running the query.
- Include actual planToggles including the actual execution plan in the query output.
- Comment selectionComments out the selected lines.
- Uncomment selectionRemoves the comment from the selected lines.
- Refresh IntelliSense cacheRefreshes the IntelliSense local cache so new tables and columns show up.
How to add them
Open RadialDeck Settings, go to the gallery, search for “SSMS” and add the actions you want. If SSMS is installed when you first start RadialDeck, the Welcome window can suggest them for you.
A ring that appears only in SSMS is part of Pro, with a 14-day trial built in. In Free you can put the same actions on one of your two rings.
